In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen, Rector of the College of Business, emphasized the role of SEED in strengthening international university networks while providing students with opportunities to develop innovative thinking, intercultural collaboration skills, and the ability to address real-world challenges through sustainable development. He noted that SEED is the result of many years of close collaboration between the UEH College of Business and FHNW, driven by a shared commitment to providing students with internationally oriented learning experiences closely connected to practice. More than a short-term academic program, SEED is a journey of exploration, collaboration, and inspiration, enabling students to engage with Vietnam's entrepreneurial ecosystem, interact with local businesses and communities, and gain first-hand insights into how sustainable entrepreneurship can generate economic value while creating positive social impact.

A highlight of the ceremony was the UEH–FHNW Flag Journey Ceremony, held in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of UEH. Beyond symbolizing the continued partnership between UEH and FHNW in education, research, and human resource development, the ceremony also reflected the spirit of UEH's milestone theme: "50 Years – Half a Century of Creation through Knowledge, Enriched by People, and Guided by the Mission of Serving Society." Over the past five decades, UEH has continuously strengthened its position as a multidisciplinary and sustainable university committed to creating positive value for the community and society. Welcoming international lecturers and students to SEED 2026 during this significant milestone further demonstrates the importance of global collaboration in fostering an international learning environment, promoting knowledge exchange, and addressing sustainable development challenges together. On this occasion, representatives of UEH and FHNW also exchanged commemorative gifts to celebrate their enduring partnership and mark the beginning of new collaborative initiatives.
