[UEH 50 Global Partners] MOA signing ceremony between UEH and UNPAD, strengthening academic collaboration and expand International connections

From August 25 to 29, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) hosted a working program with Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Indonesia, to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand engagement in education, research, public administration, and university–business collaboration. The program featured professional discussions, the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and the commemorative flag exchange ceremony - UEH Flag Journey, marking new milestones in the partnership between the two institutions.

Representing UEH were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Khanh Nam - Head of the Research - Development and Global Engagement Board, Dr. Tran Anh Hoa - Vice Rector of UEH School of Business, Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh - Vice Rector of UEH School of Economics, Law and State Management, along with representatives of units under the UEH School of Business and UEH School of Economics, Law and State Management.

Representing Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) were Prof. Dr. R. Widya Setiabudi Sumadinata - Vice Rector for Resources and Governance, UNPAD; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Benny Alexandri - Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP); and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kurniawan Saefullah - Dean of the Vocational School, UNPAD, together with university leaders, faculty members, and representatives of units under UNPAD.

As part of the program, UEH and UNPAD exchanged views on their respective strengths and orientations in education and research, while identifying potential areas for cooperation, focusing on public governance, policy research, local development, finance - banking, and accounting. In particular, connecting FISIP, UNPAD with the School of State Management and CELG, UEH, is expected to expand professional cooperation and promote unit-level MOAs. The two sides also agreed to further concretize the UEH–UNPAD MOU through cooperation programs between the UEH School of Business, the School of Banking, the School of Accounting, and partner units at UNPAD, while implementing post-signing activities.

Following the program, the UEH School of Business held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), marking a new step in concretizing the cooperation MOU between UEH and UNPAD. The agreements are expected to provide a foundation for both sides to implement practical cooperation activities in education, research, academic exchange, and university - public sector and business engagement in the time ahead.

In particular, the two sides also conducted the flag exchange ceremony - UEH Flag Journey, marking a milestone in UEH’s development and internationalization journey throughout its five decades of establishment and growth. This meaningful gesture symbolizes friendship, mutual respect, and the shared aspiration for long-term cooperation.

The event contributed to strengthening the cooperative relationship between UEH and UNPAD, while expanding connections among units of the two universities and creating a foundation for concrete cooperation activities in education, research, academic exchange, and university - business engagement. The agreements signed and the discussions held during the program will serve as a basis for both sides to further leverage their respective strengths, expand their partnership networks, and promote practical cooperation initiatives toward sustainable value and long-term effectiveness in UEH’s international integration journey.
