Launching “UEH Alumni Inspiring Stories”: A Space Where UEHer Journeys Are Told and Carried Forward

Every UEHer Is Part of the 50-Year Journey
From UEH classrooms, generations of learners have stepped into professional life and contributed to various fields of economic and social life, across localities throughout the country and abroad.
Some have participated in public administration and policymaking; some have led businesses, created jobs, and developed new business models; others have pursued education, research, technology, culture, or the creative industries. Many alumni have also returned to the University to share their experiences, mentor students, connect career opportunities, provide scholarships, and contribute to the UEH community.
Behind every position and achievement are years of learning, the guidance of lecturers, friendships nurtured in the classroom, early challenges, and the choices that have shaped each person's journey of growth.
When shared, an individual's story also becomes part of a collective memory. Through the growth and contributions of generations of learners, UEH's 50-year journey can be seen through personal stories that are relatable, authentic, and inspiring. A Space to Preserve Memories and Connect Generations
UEH Alumni Inspiring Stories is designed as a content space for the UEH alumni community across generations. Each story captures a personal journey through distinctive touchpoints: memories of campus life, academic milestones, career turning points, values created, and contributions to the University, businesses, communities, and society…
Through these stories, alumni can revisit a part of their youth, find a sense of connection in the experiences of other UEHers, and reconnect with relationships formed under the UEH community. For today's learners, these stories also offer practical perspectives on careers, adaptability, perseverance, and social responsibility. The gap between the classroom and real life becomes closer through the experiences of those who once began their journeys from the very place where students are learning today.
Content on the platform is developed around five core values of UEH Alumni: Coming Home (Gratitude) - Growth - Co-creation - Contribution - Impact. Stories are also categorized by Faculty/Institute, cohort, major, and academic program, making it easier for readers to discover individuals from the same generation, field, or with shared interests.
Over time, the platform aims to form a vivid “map” of the UEH Alumni community - diverse in professions, generations, and places of residence, yet sharing the same starting point at UEH.
The First Pages of an Open-Ended Journey
With the message “Stories of Growing, Co-creating, Contributing, Impacting and Coming Home”, UEH Alumni Inspiring Stories introduces stories of growth, co-creation, contribution, impact, and coming home from generations of alumni.
The first stories offer different perspectives: some have ventured far to expand their knowledge and create new value; some have persistently made their mark in their chosen fields; others have returned to share experiences, create opportunities, and support the generations that follow.
These are only the opening pages. Nearly 280,000 UEHers represent nearly 280,000 individual journeys, each with memories, choices, challenges, and contributions worth hearing. As these stories come together, the picture of the UEH alumni community becomes more complete, while also showing how the values nurtured in the classroom have been carried forward and extended into society.

It does not have to be a remarkable achievement. Every genuine experience can become a source of inspiration, helping generations of UEHers understand one another better and adding another perspective to the collective memory of the community.

A HOMECOMING INVITATION FOR UEH ALUMNI ACROSS THE COUNTRY - UEH ALUMNI HOMECOMING DAY 2026From UEH classrooms, generations of learners have grown into entrepreneurs, managers, experts, scientists, and more, contributing to communities, businesses, and the country. Each person has their own journey, choices, and destination, yet all share the years they spent learning and growing at UEH. In 2026, UEH celebrates its 50th anniversary. On this special milestone, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City respectfully invites generations of alumni and learners from across the country to return and reunite at UEH Alumni Homecoming Day 2026. This is an opportunity to reunite with lecturers, friends, and those who once shared a chapter of youth; for generations of UEHers to reconnect through the experiences, knowledge, and values accumulated throughout their journeys; and to share and continue nurturing the UEH Alumni community. On October 3, 2026, no matter how long ago you left UEH or where you are today, UEH looks forward to welcoming you home.
