On the afternoon of December 19, 2025, at Campus A, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held a working session with a delegation from Bac Lieu University to discuss cooperation and explore future collaborative directions.

An overview of the working session
From UEH, attendees included: Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH; Truong Minh Kiet, M.A. – Acting Head of the University Office; Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong – Head of the Department of Training; Vo Duc Hoang Vu, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Department of Research - Development and Global Engagement; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Van Binh – Deputy Head of the Department of Training; and Hoang Tuyet Anh, M.A. – Director of the Library.
From Bac Lieu University, attendees included: Dr. Phan Van Dan – Rector; Tran Nhat Bang, M.A. – Head of the Department of Organisation and Administration; Dr. Nguyen Thi Kieu – Head of the Department of Scientific Management and External Relations; Nguyen Huu Tam, M.A. – Deputy Head of the Department of Training; and Nguyen Van Trong, M.A. – Director of the Center for Information Systems and Library Management.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of UEH, shared: “Within the framework of the cooperation between UEH and the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, one of the key areas of focus to both sides is the development and supply of high-quality human resources to meet the province's socio-economic development needs. Therefore, strengthening cooperation with Bac Lieu University will help connect training resources, share experiences, and leverage the strengths of each institution in training and fostering human resources for the locality. In that spirit, we hope to promote the exchange and sharing of practical experiences to gradually clarify and implement specific cooperative activities that align with the development orientations and needs of all parties.”

Representing Bac Lieu University, Dr. Phan Van Dan, Rector, expressed his admiration for UEH's training and human resource development orientation. He noted that Bac Lieu University has always encouraged its staff and faculty to pursue further education and professional development at UEH. He also expressed his university's desire to learn from UEH's experience in digital transformation, particularly in the digitalization and application of technology for the effective management and utilization of equipment and facilities. He specifically emphasized the desire to strengthen the sharing and connection of data and learning resources between the universities to create a more favorable learning and research environment for students.

During the discussion, representatives from both sides shared extensive experience related to training, scientific research, organizational governance, and resource development. They also discussed the potential for expanding cooperation in training and research, particularly in supporting postgraduate education at the master's and doctoral levels, developing Associate Professors, and sharing learning materials by building and utilizing a shared digital library, thereby enhancing the administrative efficiency and training quality of both institutions.

The working session was conducted in a candid, open, and highly constructive atmosphere. The insights shared by UEH provided Bac Lieu University with valuable practical perspectives for its process of administrative innovation and sustainable development. At the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders of both universities agreed to maintain their connection and move towards implementing collaborative activities that align with the strengths and development needs of each institution.
