Driven by its commitment to community and societal contribution, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continuously strives to connect with organizations and localities to foster sustainable development. This is a testament to UEH's dedication to partnering with local provinces to address current challenges and fulfill Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG 17) – Partnerships for the Goals.
As part of its cooperation plan with the Central Highlands region, a UEH delegation led by Dr. Dinh Cong Khai held working sessions with the leaders of Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum provinces from December 17-18, 2024. The discussions focused on key areas aimed at promoting socio-economic development in the region, specifically:

In Dak Lak Province, the delegation was received by Mr. Nguyen Thien Van – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from provincial departments and agencies.

In Gia Lai Province, the delegation was received by Mr. Rah Lan Chung – Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from provincial departments and agencies.

In Kon Tum Province, the delegation was received by Mr. Nguyen Huu Thap – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from provincial departments and agencies.
In Dak Nong Province, the delegation was received by Mr. Bui Hieu – Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Home Affairs.
During the working session, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van – Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "The province has a significant need for human resource training and in-depth research. We hope that the cooperation between the locality and UEH will become more substantive with specific programs designed to meet our future socio-economic development needs." In response, UEH committed to close collaboration with the provinces through the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs), laying the foundation for strategic projects.
Through its cooperation program with the Central Highlands provinces, UEH not only contributes to enhancing the quality of human resources but also partners with the provinces to address practical challenges. This is a clear testament to the university's social responsibility, affirming UEH's role in linking knowledge with practice to foster sustainable community development.
