From March 2 to March 19, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), in collaboration with Work Academy and Corona Hotel (Japan), co-organized the Spring Mission Intern 2026 program.

Overview of the exchange session between UEH students and Japanese students
Attending the program, representatives from UEH included: Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh - Vice Rector of the College of Economics, Law and Government (CELG); Ms. Bui My Ngoc - Vice Dean in charge of the School of Foreign Languages; Mr. Huynh Thuc Dinh - Director of the UEH Language Institute (LI); Dr. Ho Minh Thang - Deputy Director of LI; along with 12 UEH students who were selected for the Spring Mission Intern 2026 program during the interview session on March 4, 2026.
From Work Academy, participants included Mr. Oishi Hiroo - CEO of Work Academy; Mr. Arii Kosuke - COO of Work Academy; Mr. Kawamura Yasuhiro - CEO of GOEN Institute; and 12 students from Kansai Gaidai University, Mukogawa Women’s University, and Baigo Gakuin University.
Continuing strategic cooperation between UEH and the Japanese partners
In the context of UEH’s efforts to advance the internationalization of higher education, Spring Mission Intern 2026 is considered one of the key initiatives to operationalize collaboration between UEH and its Japanese partners. The program not only provides opportunities for students from both sides to exchange, learn, and broaden their academic perspectives, but also strengthens the foundation of cooperation within the UEH (education) - GOEN (competency standards) - Work Academy (coordination) - host enterprises network.

Within the program, various exchange and networking activities were organized, including ice-breaker sessions, themed group discussions, and sharing sessions on learning experiences and career orientations in the context of international integration.



Representatives of Vietnamese and Japanese students participated in cultural exchange activities
The exchange activities within the Spring Mission Intern 2026 program enabled UEH students to gain closer exposure to an international learning and working environment, better understand professional standards, corporate culture, and the practical demands of the Japanese labor market. At the same time, Japanese students had the opportunity to learn more about the academic environment, daily life of the UEHer community, and student life in Vietnam.

Toward expanding international collaboration
The organization of Spring Mission Intern 2026 continues to affirm UEH’s commitment to building a modern educational environment closely connected to industry and aligned with the evolving demands of the global labor market. The event represents a strategic step in advancing sustainable international cooperation between UEH and its Japanese partners.
In the coming time, UEH expects to continue collaborating with Work Academy, Corona Hotel, and partners within the Japanese cooperation network to expand the program’s scale, diversify exchange activities, and create more development opportunities for students.
