UEH x Young Marketers signed a strategic cooperation agreement, launching the program "Talk To CMOs"

[Brands Vietnam] On July 16, 2021, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Young Marketers signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote the strengths of both sides and jointly implement projects that bring value to the Marketing community. Both sides will start up with the program "Talk to CMOs - Dialogue with CMOs", from July 16-18 on an online platform to adapt to the progress of the COVID-19 epidemic.

About the strategic cooperation program

Since its foundation in 2013, Young Marketers is an academic playground and methodical training program aimed at young talents who are passionate about Marketing across Vietnam. After nine years of development, with the mission of "Building the next purposeful marketing leaders", Young Marketers expands cooperation with UEH on (1) Training, fostering and developing human resources; (2) Research and consulting activities, (3) Other community development activities. All to bring practical value to the Marketing community.

Mr. Huynh Phuoc Nghia – Vice President of the UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) shared: “With the goal of 'Outstanding Quality, Attached to Practice, Reaching International Level', UEH always focuses on developing university-enterprise cooperation activities, through training connection programs associated with the practice, connecting activities to develop the startup and innovation ecosystem.

Therefore, the University appreciates the cooperation relationship with Young Marketers in implementing marketing training, coaching and consulting activities to connect training with practice, and bring practical programs for lecturers, students and startup projects at UEH.

And in this partnership, UII is the unit that directly cooperates with Young Marketers to implement projects such as 'Talk To CMOs' for lecturers and experts and '60 hours with CMOs' for students, which are held annually. The 'Visiting Speakers' program features expert guests from Young Marketers participating in training activities, applied research, professional consulting, and organizing topical seminars and talks.

We hope and believe that the results of the above projects will contribute to the formation of a solid professional network rich in practical experience, effectively serving training, academic research, and building a community of marketers, young entrepreneurs with quality and execution capacity.”

The partnership with UEH will focus more than 50% on sharing experiences with faculty, improving practicality and updating the marketing curriculum for the University, along with developing case studies from Vietnamese brands into the training program for students. Above all, we look forward to working with UEH to create new knowledge, consolidate and update marketing knowledge with deep indigenous colors.”

About “Talk to CMOs”

Within the framework of cooperation, Young Marketers and UEH have launched the first program called "Talk to CMOs - Dialogue with CMOs", organized by UII and Young Marketers.

The forum is a convergence of academic perspectives from teachers and practical perspectives of Marketing/CMOs experts. Through this annual forum, UEH and Young Marketers hope to shorten the gap between academia and practice, bringing useful information and new ideas for teaching and training young human resources in Marketing. Besides, creating excitement is the driving force to promote other activities such as improving research capacity, organizing seminars to share experiences, seek new knowledge and cooperate in teaching among teachers and experts/CMOs, and many more exciting activities in the near future.

This year, the "Talk to CMOs" program takes the spirit of "Locality makes national pride". The program is designed in the form of discussion, sharing practical perspectives, real problems and background stories to clarify and reveal the difference between perspectives.

The program includes five dialogues with experts:

  • The journey of self-renewal of a Vietnamese brand – Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Marketing Director, Biti's
  • Case Studies in Retail Marketing – Ms. Le Thao Trang, Marketing Manager, Mobile World
  • Marketing Driven by Brand Purpose – A New Shift in Marketing – Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Vice President of Marketing, Home Care, Unilever
  • The strategic combination between product-centric and brand-centric marketing – Mr. Huynh Nguyen Duy, Marketing Director, Highlands Coffee
  • Unlocking business growth with digital commerce – Ms. Nguyen Nhat Quynh, CEO, Shiseido Vietnam

UEH Institute of Innovation (UII) is a scientific and technological organization that conducts research and training activities on entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.
