From January 15-16, 2026, a delegation from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Acting President, attended the final conference of the Erasmus+ DIGITAL-MOVE project, "Shaping a Sustainable Future for Higher Education through Digital Transformation," and the project's concluding meeting at Da Nang University.
An overview of the conference
The DIGITAL-MOVE Final Conference brought together representatives from the 12 partner universities from Vietnam, Mongolia, France, and Slovakia to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the achieved results and to discuss strategic directions for digital transformation in higher education. With the theme of building a smart and sustainable university through digital transformation and innovation, the conference highlighted institutional experiences in applying modern digital transformation frameworks, developing a digital culture, and enhancing the effectiveness of technology-based teaching and learning.
At the session, UEH shared its digital transformation journey, emphasizing the role of the DIGITAL-MOVE project in supporting UEH to enhance its data-driven governance effectiveness, develop an integrated digital infrastructure, and implement learner-centric digital education. The discussions also affirmed that digital transformation is a systematic, long-term process, intrinsically linked to the overall development strategy of each higher education institution, rather than being viewed as a standalone technology project.
In addition, within the project's framework, the UEH delegation participated in the project's final Project Coordination Committee meeting to discuss the coordination for implementing remaining tasks and final reporting procedures. At the meeting, project members reviewed the progress of the work packages, confirmed the completion level of the project outputs, and agreed on a roadmap for finalizing the technical and financial reports in accordance with the requirements of the Erasmus+ program.
