In the context of promoting scientific research, improving the quality of international publications and optimizing research performance management, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has implemented Clarivate’s Research Support Solutions Ecosystem since November 2025, including Web of Science (WoS), InCites Benchmarking & Analytics, and Pivot-RP. This is an important platform that helps UEH strengthen its scientific governance capacity, effectively leverage research data, and expand connections with the global academic community.

To support lecturers and learners in effectively leveraging this ecosystem, UEH, in collaboration with Clarivate, organized the online training program “UEH - Clarivate Research Week” in the final week of March 2026, with more than 300 UEH lecturers and learners participating.

The program consisted of three main sessions: “Efficient Literature Review using Web of Science” on March 23, 2026; “Choosing the Right Journal & Avoiding Predatory Publishers” on March 24, 2026; and “Show Me the Money! - Finding Funding Opportunities in Pivot-RP” on March 27, 2026, exclusively for UEH lecturers.

During the two training sessions on March 23 and 24, 2026, participants had the opportunity to exchange with Ms. Dju-Lyn Chng, a Clarivate expert, while also receiving guidance on how to search for academic materials on WoS, how to select suitable journals, and how to avoid predatory journals. Through this program, UEH continues to strengthen lecturers and learners' research capacity, aiming to enhance analytical skills, international publication output, and participation in domestic and international academic collaboration projects.

In particular, during the training session on March 27, 2026, exclusively for UEH lecturers and researchers, Clarivate provided an in-depth introduction to the Pivot-RP database, helping participants access and explore more than 30,000 international research funding opportunities. This content contributes to expanding the capacity to develop and implement research projects at the regional and global levels.

The training series is a practical activity in the process of further developing UEH’s research ecosystem, while also supporting the strategy to improve the quality of international publications, expand scientific collaboration, and gradually enhance UEH’s position in the regional and global academic network.

In the coming period, UEH will continue to work with Clarivate to implement the “WoS Explorer Challenge - Gamified Adoption” program from April to May 2026 for UEH lecturers and learners, aiming to encourage hands-on practice on the system, build the habit of using research tools through simple tasks with progress tracking, and combine challenges with gifts and certificates for the first 100 participants to complete the program.

In addition, from May to June 2026, UEH will organize the advanced training course “Pivot-RP Funding Sprint - Hands-On Identification & Planning” for UEH lecturers, combining working sessions by school, department, and research group to finalize the project-sharing portfolio, develop draft submission plans, and expand access to reputable international funding sources.
