Ho Chi Minh City, April 21, 2026 - The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has officially put the Immersive Room into operation at Room B2.110, Campus B (279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Dien Hong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). This is a concrete step in UEH’s educational innovation strategy, aiming toward a multidisciplinary university model that integrates technology, creativity, and real-world practice in the context of digital transformation.
The Immersive Room is designed as a multisensory experience space that integrates projection, sound, lighting, and data technologies, allowing learners to interact directly with content in a simulated environment. This space supports teaching, learning, and research in highly visual, experiential ways, especially in fields such as communication design, digital art, content production, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and user experience (UX).
The launch of the Immersive Room reflects UEH’s consistent educational philosophy: technology does not exist independently but must be integrated with creative thinking and multidisciplinary understanding. In a context where technology, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) play increasingly important roles, learners need not only the ability to use tools but also the capacity to connect interdisciplinary knowledge and solve real-world problems.
From an academic perspective, the Immersive Room offers a new approach to teaching and research, enabling students to test ideas in a simulation environment that closely resembles reality, analyze data, and apply digital technology to content creation. It also serves as a foundation for fostering interdisciplinary thinking, one of the core competencies of human resources in the digital era and the super-intelligent era 5.0.

Speaking about this direction, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung, Interim President of UEH, stated:
“The Immersive Room is a concrete step in UEH’s strategy of building an integrated learning environment, where technology, data, and creativity are connected within a single ecosystem. We believe that in the digital era, competitive advantage does not lie in owning technology, but in connecting technology with interdisciplinary thinking and real-world contexts. UEH is committed to training learners who are adaptable, creative, and capable of leading change.”
The Immersive Room is part of the diverse educational ecosystem currently being implemented by UEH, alongside modern learning models such as project-based learning, experiential learning, technology laboratories (Robot/AI Lab), Living Lab models for real-world problem-solving, and blended learning programs combining online and face-to-face formats. These models help expand learning spaces, strengthen connections between the university and businesses, and enhance learners’ capacity for innovation.
In line with its orientation toward becoming a multidisciplinary, sustainable, and internationally recognized university, UEH is gradually building a model of a “University as a Sustainable Micro-City,” integrating education, research, operations, and community engagement into a unified ecosystem. The launch of the Immersive Room not only contributes to innovation in teaching methods but also demonstrates UEH’s pioneering role in testing and implementing new educational models that are aligned with global higher education trends.

JOIN THE SHOWCASE – EXPERIENCE THE IMMERSIVE ROOM AT UETo introduce the Immersive Room experience space to the community, UEH is organizing the exhibition series “HAPPY REALITIES: Blending World, Designing Joy” - a showcase of creative products, projects, and experiments developed in the Immersive Room environment. The series is open to the public, students, and partners to visit, experience, and directly interact with immersive spaces, thereby gaining a clearer understanding of how technology, art, and design thinking are combined to create new experiences.
