UEH Accompanies Vietnam Rubber Group in Enhancing Management Capacity in the Context of Digital Transformation

Attending the program on behalf of UEH were Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - UEH Vice President; Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH Scientific and Training Council Chairman; Mr. Truong Minh Kiet - Deputy Head in charge of the University Office; Dr. Thai Kim Phung - Deputy Head in charge of the Department of Communications and Partnerships; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head Department of Training, along with leaders of relevant units, lecturers, and experts participating in the training program. 

Representing VRG were Mr. Tran Nhu Hung - Deputy General Director of VRG and Mr. Nguyen Cuu Tue - Head of the Department of Organization and Human Resources, together with managers and leaders from member units participating in the training course. 

Overview of the Training Program at UEH 

In his opening remarks, Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH Scientific and Training Council Chairman, emphasized that amid digital transformation, green transformation, and increasingly intense competition, leaders and managers of major economic corporations such as VRG must continuously enhance their executive capabilities, adapt to change, manage risks, and pursue sustainable development. He also reaffirmed UEH’s commitment to developing leadership and executive management programs that are closely aligned with business practices, global management trends, and the economy's transformation needs.

Mr. Tran Nhu Hung, Deputy General Director of VRG, expressed his expectations that the program would help the Group’s management staff update their modern leadership mindset, strengthen management competencies, and improve adaptability in the rapidly evolving digital transformation landscape. He also highly appreciated UEH’s support in training and developing high-quality human resources for enterprises.

The program attracted nearly 200 participants through both in-person and online formats. The curriculum was designed to provide up-to-date executive knowledge closely aligned with practical and emerging issues in corporate management.  

The training modules focused on key areas, including: the role and profile of CEOs and executive teams in the era of digital transformation; the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance operational efficiency; financial and cash flow management as well as crisis response; human resource management and organizational culture; legal risk management; data-driven negotiation and contract management skills; updates on procurement regulations; and legal procedures related to land use, investment, and industrial park infrastructure development. 

In particular, the program explored emerging management trends associated with Artificial Intelligence and the development of Internal AI systems within enterprises. These approaches are expected to strengthen data-driven decision-making, optimize technology use, and enhance integrated collaboration across the entire VRG system.

Guided by experienced UEH lecturers and industry experts, participants gained up-to-date knowledge of modern management practices, broadened their executive perspectives, and strengthened their adaptability amid ongoing digital transformation and management innovation. The program also provided opportunities for participants to exchange practical experiences, build professional networks, and discuss management solutions tailored to the unique characteristics of state-owned enterprises in the new era. 

At the closing ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - UEH Vice President, shared: “What UEH values most is not only the completion of the training modules, but also the spirit of open dialogue, the sharing of practical experiences, and the professional connections formed among participants, lecturers, and experts throughout the course.” 

Dr. Dinh Cong Khai emphasized that the knowledge and experiences gained from the program would support VRG’s leaders and managers in improving decision-making capabilities, enhancing management effectiveness, proactively adapting to changes in the business environment, and advancing digital transformation, management innovation, and sustainable development within their organizations.

Upon completion of the program, all participants successfully fulfilled the training requirements and were awarded certificates of completion by UEH.

The year 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of UEH’s establishment and development. The collaboration program with VRG further reaffirms UEH’s role in connecting communities, disseminating knowledge, and supporting enterprises in developing high-quality human resources to meet the demands of sustainable development and global integration in the new era.
