On the afternoon of June 25, 2026, at UEH Mekong, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), in coordination with the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training, organized the Closing and Award Ceremony of the "THE STEM & DRONE UEH - VINH LONG 2026" Competition. After a day of spirited competition, the program concluded with many outstanding impressions, recognizing the creativity, technological application skills, and confidence of secondary and high school students in Vinh Long province.

Earlier in the morning, following the opening ceremony and the dissemination of competition rules, the STEM teams exhibited, introduced, and presented their models in Hall A at UEH Mekong. Many products demonstrated creative approaches to local practical issues, with a focus on using recycled materials, applying renewable energy, saving energy, and aiming for sustainable development goals. In the DRONE category, teams performed on-site programming and piloted their flying devices, showcasing logical thinking, technological skills, and coordination in handling practical challenges.
Continuing the program in the afternoon, several outstanding teams were selected to demonstrate their STEM models and DRONE piloting skills before the delegates, the Jury Board, instructors, and all competing teams. The demonstrations created an enthusiastic atmosphere, clearly reflecting the students' efforts after training, research, testing, and product refinement. This was also an opportunity for participants to share ideas, learn from each other, and broaden their perspectives on the application of technology in learning, daily life, and local development.

Attending the Closing Ceremony, representing the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training were Mr. Vo Van Be Hai - Deputy Director of the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training.
On the side of UEH, attendees included Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH; Dr. Thai Kim Phung - Acting Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships, Head of the Faculty of Business Information Technology, UEH College of Technology and Design; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu - Director of UEH Mekong; M.A. Ho Thien Quyen - Deputy Director of UEH Mekong; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Danh - Head of the Jury Board, Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Smart Technology and Interactive Systems (3I); Dr. Trinh Duc Cuong - Lecturer at the Institute of Smart Technology and Interactive Systems (3I); Dr. Truong Vinh An - Lecturer at the Institute of Smart Technology and Interactive Systems (3I), UEH College of Technology and Design; along with experts from the Institute of Smart Technology and Interactive Systems (3I); and leaders of various offices and faculties at UEH Mekong.
Representing the sponsors accompanying the competition were Mr. Hong Huy Vu - Head of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Vien Dong College; and Mr. Pham Hung Hai - Director of VNPT Vinh Long.
The event was also attended by specialized units, instructors, and a large number of students from secondary and high schools across the province.

After intense and dramatic moments of competition, the "THE STEM & DRONE UEH - VINH LONG 2026" Competition officially concluded, leaving deep impressions of the exploratory spirit and creative capacity of the younger generation. To comprehensively evaluate professional quality and recognize the breakthrough efforts of the teams throughout the journey, the representative of the Jury Board presented a summary report on the competition.

Following the vibrant and creative competitions in the morning, the program continued with STEM model demonstrations and DRONE piloting in Hall A. This was an opportunity for teams to introduce products they had researched, designed, and completed themselves, while demonstrating flexible and precise operation and control of flying devices. Each model and demonstration was not only the result of a learning and experiential process but also reflected the spirit of innovation, technological thinking, and the ability to apply science and engineering to solve practical problems among students.

Accompanying the competition was the valuable support of business partners. These practical contributions not only enhanced the quality of the competition's organization but also created a vibrant space, further motivating the movement of learning, scientific research, and innovation among students. To recognize and express gratitude for the valuable partnership of sponsors, the Organizing Committee formally presented letters of appreciation to the units that made practical contributions, contributing to the overall success of the competition.

After the spirited competition, the Organizing Committee evaluated the products, performances, and presentations of the teams based on criteria of creativity, applicability, execution skills, and teamwork spirit.
For each category (STEM and DRONE), the Organizing Committee awarded 01 First Prize, 02 Second Prizes, 03 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes; the remaining teams received the Promising Team Award to recognize their efforts and creative spirit, encouraging their passion for learning and technology.
At the program, the Organizing Committee honored and awarded prizes to the outstanding teams, recognizing the efforts, creativity, and spirit of conquering science and technology among students from secondary and high schools across Vinh Long province.

The success of the competition continues to affirm the role of UEH Mekong in promoting STEM education, innovation, and high-quality human resource development, contributing to shaping the digital future for Vinh Long province and the Mekong Delta region as a whole.
