Over 6,000 PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s graduates officially graduate from UEH in the first round of 2026 – Ready to embark and step into the world

From March 21 to April 12, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held graduation ceremonies for more than 6,000 UEH learners across all levels and modes of study, including doctoral, master’s, and full-time undergraduate programs at the Ho Chi Minh City campus and UEH Mekong, second-degree full-time undergraduate, full-time transfer, and part-time undergraduate programs.

The UEH 2026 Graduation Ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung - Interim President; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President; Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Council; Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - Chairman of the Scientific and Training Council; Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the UEH Alumni Executive Committee; the Boards of Management of UEH member colleges; professors, associate professors, and doctors; and heads and deputy heads of UEH units and member colleges.

And especially the presence of 6,303 new PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s graduates, along with their parents, families, and friends.

Overview of the 2026 Round 1 Graduation Ceremony

Delivering congratulatory remarks to the new PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s graduates, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung – Interim President of UEH – shared: “Over half a century of establishment and development, UEH has gradually affirmed its position as a multidisciplinary, research-oriented, and sustainability-driven university, rising to become one of the leading higher education institutions in the region and steadily integrating deeply into the global academic system with many outstanding achievements. In the first graduation round of 2026, UEH officially conferred degrees to 6,303 graduates. This includes 17 new PhD holders, 390 new Master’s graduates, 5,438 Bachelor’s graduates from full-time programs in Ho Chi Minh City and UEH Mekong, and 458 students from part-time (work–study) programs. UEH’s new PhD and Master’s graduates have demonstrated outstanding academic competence, expanding their research into interdisciplinary areas within economic sciences, proactively applying new technologies, and continuously improving their language proficiency for research, academic exchange, and international publication. Notably, at the doctoral level, international integration is strongly reflected in 15 publications in prestigious journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and 8 out of 17 dissertations were written and defended entirely in English.

Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH – presented degrees to the new Master’s graduates.

In addition to their academic knowledge, the new Bachelor’s graduates demonstrated outstanding language proficiency. Notably, 45 students achieved IELTS scores of 8.0 and 8.5, while 5 students scored between 980 and 990 out of 990 on the TOEIC test. Other certifications, such as VPET, TOEFL iBT, and second foreign languages, also recorded many positive results.

Significantly, this graduation ceremony also marked the first cohort of graduates from several newly launched programs at UEH, affirming the effectiveness of its innovation-driven and future-oriented education strategy. These include Digital Communication and Multimedia Design, Accounting integrated with the ICAEW CFAB certification, and the double-degree program in Public Management and Law & Local Governance. The presence of graduates from these programs highlights UEH’s pioneering role in curriculum design and its strong adaptability to interdisciplinary and global integration demands.

Students from the first cohorts of the Digital Communication and Multimedia Design program and the Accounting program, integrated with the ICAEW CFAB certification, officially graduated, marking an important milestone.

Expressing her emotions at this meaningful ceremony, Bachelor’s graduate Đinh Thị Khánh Linh – majoring in E-commerce, School of Business Information Technology – shared: “University is not only a place for learning but also our youth. UEH is where every student is cared for and provided with optimal conditions to study, conduct research, and develop comprehensively. The University continuously innovates its programs according to international standards, invests in modern facilities, and organizes many meaningful activities, helping us grow both in knowledge and skills.”
