New UEH Publications Alert (Week 4 – June 2026): Interdisciplinary Convergence from Public Governance, Artificial Intelligence to Fundamental Sciences

30 Jun, 2026

In Week 4 - June 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to record an impressive series of international publications, reaffirming its expanding interdisciplinary research capacity. The latest studies demonstrate UEH’s ability to seamlessly integrate economics, management, technology, social sciences, and fundamental sciences to address pressing challenges in public governance, sustainable development, digital transformation, and innovation.

Addressing Contemporary Challenges in Governance and Sustainable Development

From an academic perspective, UEH researchers have successfully applied and advanced a wide range of internationally recognized theoretical frameworks related to sustainable governance, ESG, digital transformation, organizational behavior, and public administration.

The University's research ecosystem has tackled numerous emerging issues, including:

  • - Public Governance & Institutions: Examining the key drivers of performance-based budgeting adoption in public sector organizations, contributing to enhanced governance quality, organizational sustainability, and resilience.

  • - Finance & Corporate Governance: Investigating the role of corporate culture in improving ESG transparency while assessing how internal control systems and technological capabilities strengthen bank-wide risk management in support of Sustainable Development Goal 16.

  • - Sustainable Development & Environment: Proposing pathways toward low-carbon shipping, developing context-specific ESG frameworks for tourism destinations such as Phu Quoc Island, and examining how digital transformation, green leadership, and green intellectual capital enhance sustainable corporate performance.

  • - Education & Social Sciences: Evaluating the effectiveness of gamification in hybrid learning environments, investigating English pronunciation instruction in EFL contexts, analyzing pension reform in Vietnam, and proposing collaborative resource-sharing models for teacher education institutions.

Advancing Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Sciences

Beyond economics and social sciences, UEH continues to expand its research frontier into artificial intelligence, data science, and advanced mathematics. Notable studies this week include:

  • - Developing an AI-powered video captioning framework that significantly improves semantic understanding while reducing the influence of noisy multimodal inputs.

  • - Conducting advanced research on the Schrödinger equation, Musielak–Orlicz spaces, reaction–diffusion equations, and contemporary mathematical analysis, further strengthening UEH's foundation in fundamental sciences.

Pioneering Advanced Research Methodologies

UEH's comprehensive research capability is further demonstrated through the application of diverse and rigorous analytical approaches. This week's publications employ:

  • - Quantitative Modeling & Simulation: Including Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), Agent-Based Modeling (ABM), multi-criteria decision-making models, and advanced econometric and mathematical modeling techniques.

  • - Data Science & Artificial Intelligence: Leveraging deep learning methods for computer vision and multimedia intelligence applications.

By integrating enterprise data, public-sector datasets, survey data, and sophisticated computational models, UEH researchers continue to produce studies that combine academic rigor with practical relevance for businesses, policymakers, and society.

Creating Knowledge, Reinforcing the Position of a Multidisciplinary Research University

Overall, this week's publications once again reinforce UEH's position as a leading interdisciplinary research university. Beyond enriching the global body of scientific knowledge, these studies make meaningful contributions to digital transformation, sustainable governance, innovation, and educational development, supporting societies in addressing increasingly complex global challenges.
