The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to record a steady stream of new international publications, clearly reflecting the University's ever-expanding research capabilities. The works published this past week demonstrate a dynamic ability to bridge economics, management, technology, and environmental science, thereby approaching and addressing contemporary socioeconomic challenges in a comprehensive manner.

Knowledge Updates from a Transforming Economic Landscape

On the academic front, UEH researchers continue to effectively apply and extend a range of established theoretical frameworks, including the Theory of Planned Behavior, theories of organizational innovation, and advanced models of ESG and sustainable finance. Their studies focus on decoding highly topical themes that deliver significant value for policymaking and corporate governance:

Finance and Corporate Behavior: In-depth analyses of the relationship between financial development and greenhouse gas emissions; clarification of the impact of macroeconomic factors (such as corruption) on corporate financial behavior; and addressing the challenge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) transparency in the financial sector.
Digital Transformation and Technology: Evaluation of the breakthrough role of GenAI in storytelling for community-based tourism, along with novel approaches to leveraging AI for competitive advantage.
Environmental and Social Governance: Exploration of the drivers behind electronic waste recycling behavior in urban areas, contributing directly to waste management strategies and the circular economy.

Methodological Breakthroughs with Micro–Macro Data

The UEH research community's capacity for conducting empirical research to international standards continues to be affirmed through the application of rigorous and sophisticated analytical techniques. Authors have flexibly employed PLS-SEM, GMM, 2SLS, and long-term panel data analysis models.

A methodological highlight of the past week is the research designs that harmoniously integrate micro-level datasets (at the firm and consumer levels) with macro-level datasets (at the national level), yielding multidimensional perspectives and high reliability for scientific conclusions.
