Spreading research value – a foundation for a sustainable academic ecosystem
In 2025, UEH made clear strides in disseminating research value and gradually strengthening a sustainable academic ecosystem that tightly links scholarship, practice, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Research activities continued to be coordinated across multiple levels, with 51 ministry‑, provincial‑, and city‑level projects approved, 94 UEH‑internal projects, and 2 national‑level projects authorized for implementation during the year—demonstrating the stable, in‑depth research capacity of UEH faculty.
On the publication front, UEH recorded 573 international papers indexed in ISI/Scopus/ABDC, organized 06 international scientific conferences and 12 national scientific conferences, creating platforms for knowledge exchange and highlighting timely research topics. In parallel, 1,300 student research projects were completed, of which 720 received awards, nurturing the next generation of scholars for UEH’s academic ecosystem.
Moreover, the university continued to leave an international imprint in sustainable development research and education by successfully delivering the second year of the Jean Monnet Module “EU4Sustainability – Sustainable Development in the European Union”, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ (Jean Monnet Actions) programme. From January to July 2025, the project offered 07 interdisciplinary modules on sustainable development, green finance, EU law and policy, attracting more than 500 undergraduate and graduate students across UEH and creating a multidimensional academic environment in a global context.

Besides, in the UEH Challenge: 24 Hours of Giving 2025, over 1,000 UEH community members, including staff, learners, alumni, and partners, joined together to spread the meaningful “Giving back” spirit over a 24‑hour period. As an annual event that showcases the ONE UEH culture, the programme recorded contributions exceeding VND 200 million to the Giving to UEH fund, earmarked for Nurturing Talent. The funds were used to award the “Dream‑Wings” scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing extra motivation on their academic and personal development journeys.
