On 2 and 4 June 2026, the UEH.ISB Honors College welcomed a delegation of nearly 250 faculty members and students from Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC), part of Khon Kaen University (KKU), one of UEH.ISB's long-standing strategic university partners and one of Thailand's leading public universities.

Through a combination of academic activities and cultural exchange, Academic Visit Student Mobility 2026 not only provided valuable practical learning experiences but also created meaningful opportunities for Vietnamese and international students to connect through culture.

Strengthening International Connections

The program welcomed a delegation of 15 faculty members and nearly 200 students from Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC), Thailand. Accompanying and hosting the delegation were students from the UEH.ISB ASIA CO-OP Program, who served as academic and cultural ambassadors throughout the exchange, creating an inspiring experience and leaving lasting memories for their international peers.

Following an energetic opening performance by the L.O.M Club - UEH.ISB's music club - representatives of UEH.ISB and KKUIC exchanged commemorative gifts in a warm and formal ceremony, symbolizing the strong partnership, shared commitment to international collaboration, and continued expansion of academic, educational, and cultural exchange activities.

Expanding Academic Perspectives on Vietnam's Economy

A highlight of the program was an in-depth academic workshop where students from both institutions explored new perspectives on the regional economy through the session "Vietnam's Economic Metamorphosis," led by Dr. Nguyen Hong Ngoc, Director of the ASIA CO-OP Bachelor's Program. The workshop offered valuable insights into Vietnam's economic transformation within the ASEAN region.

Through Dr. Nguyen Hong Ngoc's presentation on Vietnam's macroeconomic landscape and its economic transformation during the country's integration into the global economy, students gained multidimensional perspectives on growth drivers, development opportunities, and the potential of Vietnam's key industries. Building on these insights, participants engaged in group discussions and case analyses, exchanging ideas and proposing solutions to real-world challenges presented during the workshop.

By combining theoretical learning with teamwork, idea sharing, and critical discussion, the workshop enabled students to strengthen their communication skills, cultivate a global mindset, and enhance their problem-solving capabilities in multicultural environments.

Strengthening Connections Through Cultural Exchange

The vibrant atmosphere continued with a series of cultural exchange activities. Through quizzes, interactive challenges, and engaging conversations about the traditions and identities of Vietnam and Thailand, students from KKUIC and UEH.ISB explored the richness and diversity of each other's cultures while discovering both shared values and unique cultural characteristics. These open conversations and lively interactions not only created a welcoming and engaging environment but also fostered memorable experiences and new friendships between Vietnamese and Thai students.

This embodies the spirit of Student Mobility programs, where learning extends beyond the classroom through real-world experiences, intercultural exchange, and meaningful relationships developed along the journey of internationalization.

Laughter and enthusiastic participation during the cultural exchange mini-games created a warm and connected atmosphere between UEH.ISB and KKUIC students.

The program concluded with group photographs and newly forged friendships between Vietnamese and Thai students. Although the exchange lasted only a short time, Academic Visit Student Mobility 2026 offered meaningful experiences that broadened students' perspectives, strengthened their global competencies, and created new opportunities for international engagement for students from both institutions.

Advancing Educational Cooperation Between Vietnam and Thailand

Khon Kaen University (KKU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious public universities in northeastern Thailand, renowned for its strengths in education, research, and international collaboration. Within KKU, Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC) serves as the international education arm, offering globally oriented academic programs and attracting students from across the region.

Through Academic Visit Student Mobility 2026, students from both universities had the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and work in a multicultural environment while gaining fresh perspectives on the economic landscape and development trends across the ASEAN region. The success of this exchange extended beyond valuable academic and cultural experiences, further strengthening the partnership between the UEH.ISB Honors College and Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC). It also created new opportunities for academic exchange and laid a stronger foundation for future international education collaborations.
