On the morning of June 27, 2026, the Launch Ceremony for the 2026 Economics Student Volunteer Campaign officially took place in Lobby B1 at UEH, in a vibrant and spirited atmosphere. The ceremony marked the moment when UEH's blue-shirt volunteers concluded their academic semester and embarked on a summer of experience, service, and personal growth. More than simply the starting point of the campaign, the event served as a call to action, inspiring confidence and determination among all volunteers as they began their journey.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Comrade Nguyen Dang Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and President of the Vietnam National Union of Students - Ho Chi Minh City.
Representing UEH were Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy, Member of the Standing Committee of the UEH Party Committee, President of the UEH Trade Union, and former Secretary of the UEH Youth Union and President of the UEH Student Association; Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Hai Ly, Vice Rector of the UEH College of Business (UEH.COB); Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh, M.A., Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships and former Secretary of the UEH Youth Union and President of the UEH Student Association; Mr. Phan Ngoc Danh, M.A., Deputy Head of Department of Facilities Management; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, M.A., Deputy Director of the Center for Educational Testing; Dr. Bui Xuan Thanh, Director of the Institute of Political and Social Sciences; Mr. Duong Kha, M.A., Vice Dean of the School of Finance; Dr. Phan Thi Bao Quyen, Vice President of the UEH Trade Union and Vice Dean of the School of Accounting; Dr. Duong Tan Khoa, Vice Dean of the School of Banking; Dr. Diep Quoc Bao, Vice Dean of the School of Management; and Dr. Ngo Cong Khanh, Vice Dean of the School of Business Honours.
Representing the campaign's sponsors and partners were Mr. Tran Tieu Bao, Director of SKYHIGH Manufacturing, Trading and Services Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Pham Hung Vi, Director of Sponsorship Channel Media Solutions Co., Ltd., representing the 3 Mien Instant Noodles brand.
Representing the UEH Youth Union and Student Association, as well as the Campaign Command Board, were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Nho, Party Committee Member, Secretary of the UEH Youth Union, and Campaign Commander; Mr. Tran Huu Loc, Deputy Secretary and Chair of the UEH Youth Union Inspection Committee, Deputy Campaign Commander; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tien, Deputy Secretary of the UEH Youth Union and President of the UEH Student Association, Deputy Campaign Commander; together with Secretaries of the Youth Union Executive Committees and Youth Union branches of UEH's schools and institutes.
Most notably, more than 500 enthusiastic student volunteers were present, fully prepared to begin their mission with a strong commitment to creating sustainable value for the community.
Building upon the meaningful legacy established by generations of UEH student volunteers over the years, the 2026 Economics Student Volunteer Campaign officially commenced with the pioneering spirit, responsibility, and creativity of UEH youth. Continuing its commitment to serving the community, this year's campaign consists of two phases. Phase 1, "Green Summer," will take place from June 27 to July 19, 2026, across three campaign sites: Dong Nai City, Ho Chi Minh City, and Vinh Long Province. Phase 2, "Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration," will be held from September 19 to 20, 2026.
The campaign not only aims to implement meaningful community projects that contribute to local development but also provides students with opportunities to learn through real-world experiences, develop practical skills, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and spread humanitarian values throughout the community. Every journey is not only about giving back but also about growing through experience.
During the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the 2026 Economics Student Volunteer Campaign Command Board was officially introduced. Comprising dedicated and exemplary student leaders with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, the Command Board will lead, connect, and support volunteers throughout the campaign, ensuring that every project and activity brings meaningful value to the communities they serve.

During the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy, Member of the Standing Committee of the UEH Party Committee and President of the UEH Trade Union, delivered remarks on behalf of the University's leadership, assigning responsibilities and expressing high expectations for all volunteers before their departure. His words reflected the University's trust in UEH youth while serving as a source of encouragement for the volunteers to uphold responsibility, resilience, and enthusiasm throughout the campaign.

Following this, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Nho, Commander of the 2026 Economics Student Volunteer Campaign, delivered remarks on behalf of the Command Board, affirming the team's commitment to successfully accomplishing the campaign's goals, projects, and activities under the guiding principles of "Safety - Discipline - Practicality - Effectiveness." She also expressed sincere appreciation to all organizations, partners, and individuals who have continuously supported the campaign.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of appreciation letters to the campaign's sponsors and partners. The flowers and letters of appreciation symbolized the Organizing Committee's sincere gratitude for their valuable support, which has enabled volunteer teams to effectively carry out their mission throughout the campaign.

The ceremony then introduced the Campaign Command Board and officially launched the volunteer teams before all participants. With their pioneering spirit and strong sense of responsibility, these teams will play a central role in leading campaign activities and spreading the spirit of volunteerism across all campaign sites. Warm applause from the audience further strengthened the volunteers' confidence and motivation as they prepared for the journey ahead.

The most anticipated moment of the ceremony was the handover of the traditional Green Summer campaign flag, officially launching the 2026 Economics Student Volunteer Campaign. The flag symbolized the continuation of UEH's volunteer tradition across generations of students while conveying the trust and expectations of the University's faculty members for the Command Board and all volunteers to work together in creating a safe, effective, and memorable volunteer campaign.

The ceremony concluded in a solemn yet emotional atmosphere, with words of encouragement and best wishes from UEH's faculty members to the volunteers before their departure. Immediately afterward, the volunteer teams gathered to finalize their preparations and departed for their assigned campaign sites, beginning their journey of bringing youthful energy and the spirit of volunteerism to communities in need.
