Working Session and Experience Exchange between University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Electric Power University

On the afternoon of October 9, 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) hosted a working session and experience exchange with a delegation from Electric Power University at its Campus A.

Representing UEH were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Chairman of the UEH Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Standing Deputy Head of the Department of Research - Development and Global Engagement; MA. Duong Minh Man - Standing Deputy Head of the Human Resources and Organisation Development Department; MA. Tran Hoang Tam - Standing Deputy Head of the Department of Finance and Investment Planning; and MA. Dang Thai Thinh - Deputy Head of the Department of Facilities Management.

Representing Electric Power University were Meritorious Teacher. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Ngo - Chairman of the University Council, along with members of the visiting delegation.

Overview of the working session

Speaking at the session, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao emphasized that the meeting was an opportunity for both institutions to share practical experiences in university governance and operations, optimization of financial resources, human resource development, and the application of technology in training. He expressed UEH's hope that this activity would pave the way for numerous practical collaboration opportunities between the two universities in the future.

Meritorious Teacher. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Ngo – Chairman of the University Council of Electric Power University, highly appreciated UEH's autonomous university governance model and its sustainable development orientation. He noted that the experiences shared by UEH in governance, finance, technology, and personnel development would serve as a valuable reference for Electric Power University to apply in its own context. He also expressed his desire for the two universities to further strengthen collaboration in training, research, and digital transformation in the time to come.

During the exchange and discussion, the delegation from Electric Power University raised many questions concerning the operational and governance mechanisms of an autonomous university, strategies for utilizing financial resources for training activities, human resource development policies, the role of information technology systems in governance, and orientations for research and academic brand building.

The working session took place in a cordial and open atmosphere, bringing significant practical value to both institutions. Electric Power University highly valued UEH's governance model, financial policies, human resource development, and academic research activities. Both sides expressed their desire to promote collaboration and share experiences for mutual development in the time to come.
