An overview of the signing ceremony between UEH and the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee
According to the 2025–2030 cooperation agreement, UEH and the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee will collaborate comprehensively in the fields of research, training, consulting, and knowledge transfer to promote local socio-economic development. Key areas of focus include: research, policy proposals and socio-economic development orientations; scientific and technological research, innovation, and digital transformation; development of the marine economy, tourism, key industries, logistics, and high-tech agriculture; human resource training and development; consulting smart urban development and and expanding international cooperation.
Notably, UEH will coordinate on developing training programs tailored to the province's practical needs through postgraduate education and short-term courses; while enhancing the operational effectiveness and efficiency of commune-level officials as Gia Lai transitions to a two-tier local government model. Research programs will be implemented in alignment with the Politburo's four 'Pillar' Resolutions, as well as Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025, on breakthroughs in education and training, and Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025, on several breakthrough solutions to enhance the protection, care, and improvement of public health.

At the ceremony, Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, highly valued UEH's capacity in training, research, and policy consulting. He emphasized that Gia Lai is facing significant opportunities in fields such as tourism, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, the semiconductor industry, and other key future projects. Gia Lai Province holds high expectations for UEH's partnership in training a workforce that meets new demands, innovating governance methods, and enhancing the province's competitiveness.

UEH is committed to accompany Gia Lai Province in training, consulting, research, and innovation programs to promote the sustainable development of the province and the Central Highlands region."

The cooperation agreement between UEH and the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee provides the foundation for a strategic, comprehensive, and long-term partnership. By leveraging the strengths of each party, this collaboration will pave the way for numerous long-term action programs, making knowledge and an innovation spirit into the driving force for the sustainable development of Gia Lai and the Central Highlands region. It also continues to reinforce the "City University" model that UEH persistently pursues—a place where knowledge, research, and innovation are closely intertwined with local and national development.
