UEH Conducts "AI in the Workplace" Training Session for Over 20,000 Vinh Long Province Teachers Participating in the "Creative Teachers with Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence" Festival 2025

On October 19, 2025, a vibrant atmosphere of learning spread throughout the teaching community in Vinh Long province. Over 20,000 teachers, from preschool to high school, gathered on the UEH Learning Management System (LMS)—a modern online learning platform developed by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH)—to participate in the "AI in the Workplace" training session. This was more than just a course; it was a journey to inspire the spirit of "Creative Teachers with Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence," aiming to build a teaching force that is adaptive, pioneering, and innovative in the digital era.

This activity is also part of the UEH Global project—an initiative implemented by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) to organize annual activities that support the community, disseminate knowledge, and promote innovation and sustainable development in various localities.

Beginning with a Spirit of Partnership for Educational Innovation

The UEH Global Learning project has cultivated a dynamic learning community that pioneers digital transformation in education, aligned with the mission of “Connecting the Community - Spreading Knowledge - Acting for Sustainability.” This is regarded as a practical activity to promote digital transformation and enhance the quality of teaching at all levels, from preschool to university.

Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Vo Van Be Hai - Vice Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Education and Training. From UEH and UEH Mekong were Dr. Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu - Standing Vice Director of UEH Mekong, MA. Dang Thai Thinh - Deputy Head of the UEH Department of Facilities Management, along with esteemed faculty members of the training team from UEH and UEH Mekong. Notably, the program received an enthusiastic response from over 20,000 teachers at all levels across Vinh Long province.

In his opening speech, Mr. Vo Van Be Hai - Vice Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Education and Training, shared: “To facilitate the participation of teachers and school administrators in the 'Creative Teachers with Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence' Festival 2025, launched by the Department of Teachers and Educational Administrators (Ministry of Education and Training), the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Education and Training has collaborated with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) to organize the 'AI in the Workplace' training session. On behalf of the Department's leadership, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to UEH for its partnership and support in organizing this meaningful course. We hope the university will continue to share its knowledge, guidance, and direction to help Vinh Long's teachers not only achieve high results at the Festival but, more importantly, effectively apply digital technology and artificial intelligence in their management and teaching. In this training session, I hope all teachers will actively learn, openly engage with experts, and master AI tools and methods to enhance their digital competencies and foster innovation in teaching, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation throughout the province's education sector.”

AI – A New Tool, a New Inspiration for Teachers

The training course was conducted over one week, with three official sessions on October 19, 20, and 21, 2025, and mentoring support sessions from October 22 to 26, 2025. The program focused on the following key topics:

+ AI and its crucial role in the digital age. Common large language models.

+ Automating the design of lectures, presentations, lesson plans, exams, mind maps, documents, Ebooks, etc., with AI.

+ Automating the design of audio and video for teaching with AI.

Vibrantly Spreading the UEH Global Learning Spirit

Regarding the program, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thy Lieu - Standing Vice Director of UEH Mekong, shared: “This is a meaningful activity co-organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and the Vinh Long Provincial Department of Education and Training to support teachers in accessing and applying artificial intelligence in teaching and management, in response to the 'Creative Teachers with Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence' Festival launched by the Ministry of Education and Training. We deeply appreciate the teachers' eagerness to learn and their strong engagement. The course attracted over 20,000 teachers—a testament to the aspiration for innovation and the spirit of continuous learning among Vinh Long's educators. UEH aims to partner with each teacher, not only to create products for the competition but, more importantly, to effectively apply AI in their daily work and teaching. Within just a few days, thousands of teachers proactively explored and applied artificial intelligence tools to create video lectures, design lesson plans, generate test questions, and develop smart learning materials. From these initial experiments, thousands of inspiring stories were written—stories of teachers continuously learning, creating, and reinventing themselves in the technological era.

These first products are not just aimed at the “Creative Teachers with Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence” competition; they are a vivid testament to the innovative spirit of Vinh Long's educators—pioneers on the journey of educational digital transformation.

Through this training program, UEH hopes to partner with educators nationwide in enhancing digital competencies, mastering technology, and promoting innovation in teaching and learning. This provides the foundation for every teacher to confidently transform their teaching methods and create engaging, effective, and personalized learning experiences.

With the “AI in the Workplace” training session, UEH not only delivered a training program but also ignited a flame of creativity and a desire for innovation in every teacher. From Vinh Long, the story of over 20,000 teachers pioneering the application of AI is now spreading—a vivid testament to UEH's mission: to partner with the community, transforming for sustainable development.
