UEH Appoints New Unit Leaders and Heads of Divisions for Functional Departments and Equivalent Units

On the morning of December 1, 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held a ceremony to announce and present appointment decisions for unit leaders and heads of divisions for its functional departments and equivalent units.

As part of its efforts to strengthen the management team for the 2025-2030 term, UEH is continuing to appoint new leadership and management personnel for several of its units. In line with Notice No. 2523/TB-ĐHKT-PTTCNL dated November 10, 2025, the University is also piloting the title of "Head of Division" within its functional departments and equivalent units to enhance administrative efficiency in the new era. Accordingly, 8 out of 10 functional departments and equivalent units proposed and followed the process to recommend one "Head of Division" each. The recommended personnel, who meet the required standards and conditions, have been officially appointed by the Board of Management.

The ceremony was attended by: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet – Chairwoman of the UEH Alumni Executive Committee; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – Chairman of the UEH Scientific and Training Council; Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy – Chairman of the UEH Trade Union; along with the Boards of Rectors of the member colleges, leaders of various UEH units, the newly appointed Heads of Divisions, and interested officials and employees.

UEH presented notices of assignment and appointment decisions for the following positions: a professional role equivalent to Vice Dean of the School of Economics, UEH College of Economics, Law and Government; Deputy Head of the Department of Quality Assurance and Internal Control; Dean and Vice Dean of the Institute of Language and International Studies; and 8 Heads of Divisions for functional departments and equivalent units.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung congratulated the newly appointed staff members. The UEH Interim President also emphasized the work orientation for the coming term: "The appointments affirm the great trust and high expectations that the Party Committee, the Board of Management, and the entire UEH community have in the leadership team for the 2025-2030 term. UEH recognizes the efforts, dedication, and sense of responsibility that these individuals have demonstrated. We expect the new appointees to continue to leverage their professional expertise, proactiveness, and determination, contributing to enhancing the administrative efficiency of their respective units. The university community will 'move faster and go further' when every individual works effectively and collaboratively. The Board of Management is confident that the new appointees will become driving forces for innovation, reinforcing UEH's image as a modern, professional, and responsible university."
