On the afternoon of June 19, 2025, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Saigon Trading Group - One Member Limited Liability Company (SATRA) officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). This event marks a new milestone in the collaborative relationship between UEH and SATRA, aiming to enhance community service value.
At the signing ceremony, the UEH delegation included: Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – President of UEH; MSc. Le Dong Du – Permanent Deputy Chief of the University Office; Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong – Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Training; MSc. Truong Minh Kiet – Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships; MSc. Tran Hoang Tam – Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Finance - Investment Planning; MSc. Vo Ha Quang Dinh – Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Facilities Management; and MSc. Phan Ngoc Anh – Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships.
Representing SATRA were: Mr. Lam Quoc Thanh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director; Mr. Vu Duong Quan – Head of the Retail System Management Department; Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung – Director of the Market Department; Ms. Nguyen Tran Khanh Van – Deputy Director of the Human Resources Organization Department; Mr. Le Minh Tuan – General Director of Vissan; Mr. Doan Van Nam – Director of Cofidec; Ms. Vuong Thuy Tien – Director of the SatraFoods Supermarket Chain; Mr. Vuong Be Nam – Director of Centre Mall Cu Chi; along with representatives from other SATRA units.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – President of UEH, shared: “In recent years, UEH has continuously strived to affirm its position as one of Vietnam’s reputable multidisciplinary and sustainable universities. UEH’s development is always closely linked to the support of strategic partners, among which Saigon Trading Group (SATRA) stands as a prime example. Through this cooperation agreement, UEH expects students to have access to a professional working environment, participate in real-world projects, comprehensively develop both knowledge and soft skills, and be ready to integrate and succeed in their careers. In addition, collaboration in investment projects, brand development, CSR, and community welfare will generate sustainable, practical value for both sides and make a positive contribution to society.”

At the ceremony, the two sides agreed on specific cooperation items, focusing on practical and long-term objectives, including:
+ Joint investment in projects and modern facilities to enhance the quality of community services for SATRA and UEH, promoting civilized consumption;
+ Connecting human resource training through professional development courses for SATRA staff and providing internship and employment opportunities for UEH students within the SATRA system;
+ Implementing CSR projects and meaningful social activities that bring tangible benefits to the UEH community while promoting sustainable business for SATRA;
+ Collaborating in brand development and strengthening bilateral communication activities to spread the reputable image of both parties;
+ Developing welfare programs that deliver practical benefits to UEH officials, employees, and students.
