In anticipation of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, the alumni of Cohort C19 from the University of Finance Accounting Ho Chi Minh City of Ho Chi Minh City (now UEH) held an emotional reunion at UEH Campus B this morning. Forty years after graduation, youthful memories were once again brought to life in a warm, intimate, and proud atmosphere.
The 40th graduation anniversary reunion of Cohort C19 was attended by many former leaders and lecturers who were closely associated with the class, along with over 100 alumni who returned for the event.

The 40th graduation anniversary celebration for Cohort C19 of the University of Finance Accounting Ho Chi Minh City
In a solemn yet heartfelt atmosphere, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet – Chairwoman of UEH Alumni and also a member of Intake C19 – delivered a speech, expressing deep gratitude to her teachers and her beloved alma mater:
"Today, we are deeply honored to welcome former Vice Rectors of the University of Finance Accounting Ho Chi Minh City—the very teachers who accompanied Cohort C19 from its earliest days.
Forty-four years ago, we stepped into the lecture halls of the University of Finance Accounting Ho Chi Minh City with much apprehension. Forty years after graduation, we have matured, become more confident, and stepped boldly into life to build our own careers.
On behalf of all C19 alumni, allow us to extend our profound gratitude to our teachers and the university—those who imparted to us the knowledge, fortitude, and character that have led to our success today.
Although UEH has become a large, modern, and multidisciplinary university, in our hearts, it will always be our dear University of Finance Accounting —the cradle of knowledge where each of our journeys began. The doors of UEH are always open to welcome alumni back, to cherish beautiful memories and continue to spread the noble values of the university.
We are also very proud that the next generation, our children, are now studying at UEH—a testament to the enduring values and unwavering trust that many generations have placed in this institution."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet – Chairwoman of UEH Alumni and an alumna of Cohort C19, delivered an emotional speech at the event.
More than just a reunion, the event was enlivened by musical performances from the C19 alumni themselves. Familiar songs from the 80s and 90s were recreated with great emotion, and meticulously prepared group and solo performances filled the air with joy, excitement, and nostalgia.

Performances by the C19 alumni
Looking ahead to UEH's 50th anniversary, the C19 alumni also came together to contribute to the "Giving Tree," donating nearly 30,000,000 VND. This was not only a meaningful gift to the university but also an expression of the "Giving Back" spirit—a cherished tradition of the UEH alumni community for nearly 50 years. The funds will be used for scholarships, facility development, and community projects for UEH students.
The 40th graduation anniversary reunion of Cohort C19 was more than just an occasion to reconnect and reminisce; it was a powerful affirmation of the strong bond between alumni and their alma mater, UEH. The deep appreciation for their teachers, the pride in their journey of growth, and the spirit of contributing to the community created a meaningful, fulfilling, and deeply humane event.
