Talkshow "Israel - Start-up Nation", by Doron Lebovich, Israeli Deputy Chief of Mission

After the Prime Minister of Vietnam launched the entrepreneurial movement among students, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has had practical solutions to respond to that policy. Those solutions are aimed at supporting UEH students in solving difficulties, fostering entrepreneurial ideas and turning ideas into products and services.

In the morning of March 3 2017, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu Campus, UEH's Center for Entrepreneurship Development held Talkshow "Israel - Start-up Nation" for students. The event was honored with the presence of Mr. Doron Lebovich, Israeli Deputy Chief of Mission.

Representatives from UEH included: Mr. Nguyen Thien Duy - Head of Department of Political Affairs; Mr. Bui Quang Viet - Vice President of UEH Trade Union, Director of Center for Student Support; Mr. Nguyen Hung Phong - Director of Center for Entrepreneurship Development; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Ngoc Vinh - Head of Institute of Development Economics Research; Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh - Deputy Head of Department of Communications and Public Relations; Mr. Huynh Thuc Dinh - Deputy Director of Center for Entrepreneurship Development; along with UEH lectures and more than 120 students.

In his speech, Mr. Lebovich highlighted the start-up model of Israel and conveyed the following message to the students: "Nurture and develop your creativity, dare to think, dare to act and dare to accept failure." In order to start a business, students should form a team to support one another.

At the talk show, the students raised a lot of passionate questions on the barriers in a startup environment, the adaptation of Israel's model in Vietnam, and difficulties of UEH students in starting a business in technology, etc.
