Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Agreement between UEH and Vietnam Electricity - Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC)

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and HCMC Power Corporation have been collaborating on implementing lots of programs and activities to support the process of training, human resources development, and advancing research capabilities of both two sides. These cooperation activities have contributed to upgrading the training quality of UEH, as well as assisted to supply high-quality human resources to the human team of HCMC Power Corporation. A Cooperation Agreement was also signed in the 2021 - 2025 period on August 16^th, 2021 in various fields, therefore, the long-lasting and close-knit relationship between UEH and HCMC Power Corporation will be more and more concreted. Intending to specify the cooperation content in 2022, on the morning of December 17^th,2021, UEH Board of Management and EVNHCMC Board of Directors officially signed a cooperation agreement.

Attending Signing Ceremony, on behalf of EVNHCMC, was Mr. Pham Quoc Bao - Chairman of Member Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Member of Member Council - General Director. In terms of UEH, there was the presence of Prof. Nguyen Dong Phong - Council Chairman; Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - President; and the participation of delegates, lecturers as Heads of UEH Member Schools, leaders, professionals, staff of departments affiliated to the 2 units.

Remarking at Signing Ceremony, Prof. Su Dinh Thanh - UEH President informed: “On the journey of 45-year development with meaningful achievements, and restructuring strategies towards Sustainable and Multidisciplinary UEH University, UEH cares about accelerating comprehensive and steady cooperation relationships with enterprises. From 2020, UEH deploys “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Acting sustainably” Program to be able to accompany corporations on the process of training high-quality human resources; as well as bringing values to the society and community, especially spreading knowledge values. The program focuses on 4 fields: Connecting training with practice; Connecting to carry out researches, projects; Connecting to attract human resources; Contributing to “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Acting sustainably” Fund together with UEH. In the past time, UEH and EVNHCMC have comprehensively cooperated on human resources, training, investment and so on. In the new context, with the restructuring strategies, the cooperation relationship between UEH and EVNHCMC is hoped to be promoted, aiming at sustainable development values.”

Mr. Pham Quoc Bao - Chairman of EVNHCMC Member Council gave a speech: “HCMC Power Corporation is one of the largest companies in Vietnam and Asian area. In terms of HCMC Power Corporation development in the upcoming time, one of the most important things is to evolve human resources and to advance corporate management capacity. Because of that, we do care about affiliation with economics institutions, particularly, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. In the past time, our cooperation has been specifically effective in human resources, training and so on. We hope that, in the future, we will greatly boost our cooperation matching the market context to enhance the resources of both sides.”

According to the agreement content, UEH and EVNHCMC agreed on the cooperation relationship in 2022 upon the activities as follows:

Connecting training with practice. EVNHCMC will be responsible for organizing an Internship/Enterprise Semester Program for UEH students at the HCMC Power Corporation; Professionals of EVNHCMC will participate in sharing and lecturing UEH students on content and soft skills related to the operation and business activities of HCMC Power Corporation; Experts who are leaders and senior managers of EVNHCMC will construct, evaluate training curricula, and involved in Graduation Thesis Judging Panel with UEH. On the other hand, UEH will take part in Judging Panel to assess and accredit EVNHCMC-level specialists; UEH will share and update scientific research and knowledge monthly to EVNHCMC.
Connecting to carry out research and projects, in which, UEH specialists, lecturers, and students will together participate in carrying out realistic projects deployed at EVNHCMC; Talks and conferences that solve current economic issues or topics concerning the community will be jointly organized.
Connecting to attract human resources.
Contributing to “Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Acting sustainably” Fund together with UEH.

UEH and EVNHCMC signed Cooperation Agreement

This Cooperation Agreement affirmed and marked a developing step in the cooperation relationship between University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and HCMC Power Corporation. This cooperation aims to promote the relationship between the two sides, strengthen to connect and to support each other in the process of operation and development towards researching and solving chronological problems, and to contribute to the ecosocial evolvement of the country at the same time.
