10 Mar, 2026

On the evening of March 8, 2026, at Hall B1.302, Campus B of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), a series of activities celebrating International Women’s Day, organized by the UEH College of Technology and Design (CTD) in collaboration with the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club, was successfully held. The event featured an exhibition space showcasing paintings and books by women authors, together with an in-depth talkshow titled “Women in Modern Society: Courage – Intelligence – Influence,” aiming to honor the values, contributions, and increasingly significant role of women in contemporary social life.

In the context of digital transformation and globalization, women’s roles are no longer confined to traditional patterns but are increasingly recognized across many fields, from economics, education, and culture to creativity and social leadership. With that spirit, the program created a space connecting generations of women, where stories of personal growth, resilience, and persistent contributions to the community were shared in an authentic and profound manner.

One of the highlights of the event was the exhibition of paintings and books by female authors, which celebrated women’s inner beauty, knowledge, and creative perspectives through art and scholarship. The displayed works not only reflected a rich emotional world but also demonstrated the depth of thought, cultural sensitivity, and strong creative spirit of women in contemporary life.

The in-depth talkshow featured four distinguished speakers from various fields: Assoc. Under the moderation of MC Thi Thao, the panel discussion took place in an open, inspiring, and academically rich atmosphere. Throughout the program, the speakers discussed three key themes: Courage – Intelligence – Influence. From academic perspectives to practical experiences in business management, culture, and creativity, the speakers shared many inspiring stories about women’s journeys to affirm themselves in modern society.

The discussion focused on women’s adaptability in the digital era, the role of knowledge and continuous learning, and the importance of building a personal brand in an increasingly competitive and globally connected society. In addition, the speakers shared practical experiences in balancing career, family, and personal development, thereby suggesting flexible and humane approaches for the younger generation of women.

Beyond individual stories, the panel discussion also expanded the discussion to the community’s responsibility in nurturing a generation of women who are courageous, intelligent, and positively influential in society. The heartfelt sharing from the speakers further affirmed that women’s strength lies not only in personal achievements, but also in their ability to spread values, inspire others, and create sustainable change for the community.
