Opening of the Training Course "Economic And Financial Management In The Field Of Health" Batch 4 - April 2024

On April 7, 2024, at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), Campus 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Ward 5, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City the opening ceremony of the Training Course "Economic - Financial Management for the health sector” Course 4 - April 2024 was organized.

Attending the opening ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof. Pham Quang Huy - Deputy Head of UEH Department of Undergraduate Training; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of UEH Department of Undergraduate Training, lecturers, experts, and students.

Based on the needs of society, responding to "Regulations on standards, conditions and procedures for appointment, reappointment, transfer, rotation, removal from office, and dismissal for management positions in public services under the Ministry of Health" issued under Decision No. 2969/QD-BYT dated June 16, 2021 of the Ministry of Health, recently, UEH has implemented the Training Course "Economic and Financial Management in the Field of Health”. This was Batch 4 organized by UEH specifically for the field of Health with students nationwide. Students would study in a Hybrid format with in-person classes at UEH and students from other provinces would participate online at the same time through UEH Hybrid learning system.

UEH has developed a training course specifically for the healthcare industry, providing knowledge about management and finance such as executive management, financial management, accounting management, risk management (finance, media, law), quality management, and investment project appraisal with health-related real-life situations.

After the opening session, the students entered the first topic - Media risk management - with a presentation by Dr. Dinh Tien Minh - Head of Department of Marketing, School of International Business - Marketing, UEH College of Business.

With the reputation and quality of training affirmed over the past 50 years, with many Professors and Doctors graduating from internationally-recognized universities, and strong research capacity, this was a solid foundation for UEH to successfully launch training programs specifically in health, contributing to the country's socio-economic development.

It is known that Batch 5 of the Training Course "Economic and Financial Management in the Field of Health" continues to open in July 2024. Students can refer to the information at the link go.ueh.edu.vn/yte.
