Opening Ceremony of the Controller Training Course 2025 - Vietnam Rubber Group

Implementing the multidisciplinary and sustainable university strategy, on the foundation of promoting practical, short-term and in-depth training programs for managers, on May 26, 2025, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) coordinated with Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) to organize the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course "Controller of 100%-owned LLCs and Controllers at units controlled by Vietnam Rubber Group". The activity is part of the framework of cooperation between UEH and VRG on training, improving professional capacity, management, and innovative thinking for the staff of the two units.

Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of UEH, there were Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH; Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong - Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Training; Mr. Truong Minh Kiet - Permanent Deputy Head of the Department of Communication and Partnerships; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of the Department of Training. On behalf of Vietnam Rubber Group, there were Mr. Do Huu Phuoc - Member of the Board of Management, Permanent Deputy General Director of the Group; Mr. Pham Van Hoi Em - Head of the Group's Supervisory Board, along with the special presence of 54 students attending in person and 120 students attending online in the Opening Ceremony.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training course, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH - remarked: “Being proud to be one of the national key universities with 50 years of establishment and development, UEH is not just a prestigious training and research center but also a strategic partner of the business community on the journey to develop high-quality human resources, serving the country's sustainable development goals. Within the framework of the program "Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable action", this training course is a testament to the close cooperation between UEH and the Vietnam Rubber Group. After completing 6 topics of the training course, qualified students will be granted a certificate of recognition and be equipped with a theoretical foundation and practical skills for internal control while contributing to improving management capacity and promoting effective and transparent operations. I wish the course a great success as the door to open more cooperation opportunities between UEH and the Vietnam Rubber Group in the future".

The training course is not only a clear demonstration of the cooperation between the two units but also an opportunity to support the staff to improve their knowledge to apply to practical work while opening up a space for open exchange and connection, sharing, learning, and spreading professional experiences”.

The training course "Controller of 100%-owned LLCs and controllers at units controlled by the Vietnam Rubber Group" is for more than 170 students who are leaders of the Board of Control, Controllers, and planning officers for equivalent positions of the Group. Designed with 6 in-depth teaching topics, the course updates the latest legal regulations and equips necessary skills in internal control work. The course takes place from May 26 to 29, 2025, through direct learning, especially applying classroom management technology using the Landing Page system, creating favorable conditions for students to access modern teaching methods of prestigious experts, as well as supporting the work of connecting and looking up information to take place effectively. By participating and completing the requirements of the course and the specialized test, students will be awarded a certificate of course completion by UEH.

The training course “Controller of 100%-owned LLCs and controllers at units controlled by the Vietnam Rubber Group” will contribute to improving professional capacity, promoting the role of controllers in the context of modern corporate governance systems while continuing to contribute to the professional, transparent, and sustainable development of VRG. This is also a testament to UEH's journey of continuously promoting their training strengths through coordinating short-term courses, updating knowledge for senior leaders and managers, and realizing the strategy of strong socio-economic development according to the policies of the Party and the Government.
