HAPPY REALITIES at UEH: Kicking Off ArtTech Fusion 2026 at the Intersection of Art, Technology, and Happy Realities

28 Apr, 2026

On April 24, 2026, at Campus B, the ArtTech Hub (ATH) under the College of Technology and Design (CTD), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), hosted the event “HAPPY REALITIES: Blending Worlds, Designing Joy” - the opening activity of the ArtTech Fusion 2026 series. The program combined a themed talk show and a multi-sensory experiential exhibition, creating a space where art, technology, and emotion intersect, while also introducing the Creative Space - UEH’s co-creation hub - to the community.

As the opening event of ArtTech Fusion 2026 (ATF 2026), “HAPPY REALITIES: Blending Worlds, Designing Joy” launched this year’s series by integrating a thematic talk show, a multi-sensory exhibition, and interactive art–technology activities. Through this, the event continues to embody the core spirit of ArtTech Fusion: creating a collaborative space that connects scholars, researchers, entrepreneurs, the creative community, and students to explore interdisciplinary solutions to the challenges of modern urban life and contribute to sustainable development.

Assoc. Prof. Trinh Thuy Anh - Rector of UEH College of Technology and Design, delivered remarks at the event.

One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of the Creative Space - UEH’s co-creation hub, envisioned as a platform connecting artists, researchers, students, and the creative community. The Creative Space includes creative practice studios, exhibition spaces, the Immersive Room, and interdisciplinary experience zones, enabling creative ideas to be tested within an academic environment closely linked to real-world practice.

Beyond serving as an academic space, the Creative Space is expected to become a bridge between the University and industry, fostering experimentation, development, and the real-world application of creative projects. Through this, UEH continues to expand collaborative activities at the intersection of art, technology, and innovation, contributing to the development of a multidisciplinary ecosystem for learning, research, and creativity.

“HAPPY REALITIES” is also among the first activities that allow the community to directly experience the Immersive Learning Space - Immersive Room, a component of the Creative Space at UEH. Through simulated and interactive environments, the Immersive Room opens new possibilities for applying technology to learning, creativity, and interdisciplinary research.

As part of the event, attendees also explored various forms of contemporary art–technology experiences, including the photography exhibition “Suong” (Mist), AR/VR spaces, and 3D Mapping & Video Art performances. These activities created opportunities for direct interaction within multi-sensory environments, enabling participants to more vividly experience the convergence of visuals, sound, light, motion, and data.

Beyond the exhibition, the thematic talk show offered diverse perspectives on happiness, creativity, and technology. Director/Mr. Duong Van Huy shared his viewpoint on capturing authentic moments of everyday life, while Nguyen Ngoc Dan Quyen - Founder of Chonkaverse - represented an approach that designs emotional experiences through creativity and technology. These complementary perspectives helped illuminate the essence of “HAPPY REALITIES”: happiness can be experienced in real life, but it can also be designed, reimagined, and expanded through the intersection of art and technology.

As the opening of ArtTech Fusion 2026, “HAPPY REALITIES: Blending Worlds, Designing Joy” offered new experiences at the intersection of art and technology, while shaping the spirit of this year’s ArtTech Fusion series: fostering interdisciplinary convergence, spreading a co-creation mindset, and expanding connections among the University, businesses, the creative community, and learners. The introduction of the Creative Space within the event also marks a further step in UEH’s efforts to build a learning, research, and creative environment closely connected to real-world practice.
