Closing ceremony: 1st first phase of Master in Finance and Investment Management joint program between University of Aberdeen (UK) and UEH

In the morning of Jan 5, 2017, at 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu campus, School of Finance and the Administration Board of the joint program of Master in Finance and Investment Management between University of Economics Hochiminh City (UEH) and the University of Aberdeen (UK) held the closing ceremony of the first training phase in Vietnam and congratulate students continuing their second phase in the UK in the upcoming July.

In the ceremony, there were the participation of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - President of UEH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Vice President of UEH, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Dean of School of Finance; Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Tho - Program Director, along with lecturers from School of Finance, students of the program and their parents and relatives.

University of Aberdeen is one of the oldest schools in the world with a rich history of more than 500 years and in the top 1% of the world-renowned universities. 5 Nobel Prize winning scientists have been doing research and teaching here. There are up to 94% of graduates from University of Aberdeen to obtain suitable employment immediately after graduation.

Phase 1 of the program for students studying in UEH includes 4 subjects -  Corporate Finance, Empirical Method of Quantitative Analysis, Economics, and Accounting. Phase 2 at the University of Aberdeen has 4 subjects - Portfolio Analysis, Empirical Research Methods in Finance, Financial Analysis and Markets, and Studies in Finance. Phase 3 is the time for students working on their thesis in Vietnam under the direct guidance of professors from University of Aberdeen.

To increase career opportunities for students, the University of Aberdeen has added new options for the new enrollment process starting from Jan 2, 2017: after the completion of the first phase in UEH, students are allowed to study either Master of Finance and Investment Management and Investment or Master of Accounting and Finance.
