On the afternoon of November 26, 2025, the UEH College of Business (COB), in collaboration with SAPP Education Joint Stock Company (SAPP), solemnly held the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony. This event marked an important milestone in strengthening university–industry linkages and opened up numerous learning and career development opportunities for students, learners, and lecturers in the fields of Finance and Accounting.

On the afternoon of November 26, 2025, the UEH College of Business (COB), in collaboration with SAPP Education Joint Stock Company (SAPP), solemnly held the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony. This event marked an important milestone in strengthening university–industry linkages and opened up numerous learning and career development opportunities for students, learners, and lecturers in the fields of Finance and Accounting.

Representing the UEH College of Business, the ceremony was attended by Dr. Tran Anh Hoa – Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head, Administrative office; Dr. Nguyen Phuoc Bao An – Dean, School of Accounting; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Phuong Vy – Vice Head, School of Finance; along with lecturers and students from the School of Finance.

Representing SAPP Education Joint Stock Company, attendees included Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai – Chief Executive Officer of SAPP Academy; Ms. Tran Thi Kim Phung – Head of ACCA External Relations, Ho Chi Minh City Region, SAPP Academy; and Mr. Bui Dang Tuan – Head of Partner Development, Ho Chi Minh City Region, SAPP Academy.
Distinguished guests from partner organizations included Mr. Richard McGillivray – Senior Executive Director, Asia-Pacific Region, CFA Institute (USA); Ms. Florence Wong – Director of Partner & Client Solutions, Asia-Pacific Region, CFA Institute (USA); and Ms. Le Thi Kieu Oanh – Head of Investment Advisory Department, Analysis & Investment Advisory Division, FPT Securities Company (FPTS).

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Tran Anh Hoa – Vice Rector of UEH College of Business, shared: “The signing of the MOU between UEH College of Business and SAPP Education, together with the MOAs between the Departments of Finance and Accounting and SAPP, is not merely a memorandum of cooperation, but a strong commitment and joint effort toward the goal of developing high-quality human resources that meet the increasingly stringent demands of the modern labor market. The two parties will work together to build a comprehensive educational ecosystem where students can access in-depth professional knowledge, practical skills, and clear career pathways.”

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai – Chief Executive Officer of SAPP Academy, also shared SAPP’s long-term strategic vision of accompanying the University and its departments in practice-oriented training, especially in the context of the rapidly transforming labor market.

The cooperation agreement between COB and SAPP is not merely a connection between two organizations, but also a commitment to jointly create practical development opportunities for students through specialized training programs, real-world experience-sharing seminars, internship programs, and corporate networking activities. These initiatives not only help students build a solid foundation for entering the labor market but also contribute to the development of a highly qualified workforce ready to support the growth of Vietnam’s economy.

These MOAs specify concrete cooperation activities to be implemented in the academic year 2026, promising many meaningful and practical programs for students of both departments.

Through the signing ceremony and seminar series, UEH College of Business and SAPP Education Joint Stock Company officially launched a strategic partnership toward long-term sustainable development, sharing the common goal of promoting professional standards, transparent governance, and high-quality human resource development in the fields of finance and accounting. With strong goodwill and commitment from both sides, cooperation contents will be gradually materialized through practical initiatives, thereby continuously enhancing the University’s training mission while better equipping future generations of students with solid practical competencies for international integration and development.

Following the ceremony, the program continued with a vibrant and practical seminar series entitled: “Pursuing a Professional Path in Finance and Wealth Management – Career Orientation and Professional Development in Finance & Wealth Management”, organized through the collaboration between the Department of Finance – UEH College of Business, SAPP Academy, and the CFA Institute, with professional accompaniment from FPT Securities (FPTS). This cooperation delivered an up-to-date, practice-oriented academic program aligned with international standards for UEH students.

Presentation 1 “Asset Classes & Professional Investment Mindset – When Vietnam Enters the Emerging Market Era”, delivered by Ms. Le Thi Kieu Oanh – Head of Investment Advisory Department, Analysis & Investment Advisory Division, FPT Securities (FPTS). Through this presentation, students gained insights into the characteristics and roles of major asset classes in the Vietnamese market, the professional investor’s mindset in balancing risk, return, and financial goals, as well as the shifts in capital flows as Vietnam joins the Emerging Market group.

Presentation 2 “The Career Landscape – A Professional Path in Wealth Management in Vietnam”, delivered by Mr. Nguyen Duc Thai, ACCA – Chief Executive Officer of SAPP Academy. The presentation helped students better visualize career requirements, opportunities, development trends, and the professional pathway to becoming experts in wealth management—one of the fastest-growing sectors in Vietnam.

The event concluded with an open discussion and networking session, where students and lecturers directly interacted with the speakers, creating a sincere, dynamic, and highly engaging exchange.

A specialized panel discussion on the topic “Global Competency Standards & the Professional Journey in Finance and Investment” featured a distinguished guest, Mr. Richard McGillivray – Senior Executive Director, Asia-Pacific Region, CFA Institute (USA). Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Phuong Vy and Dr. Nguyen Le Ngan Trang, the panel attracted great interest from students, with numerous in-depth questions reflecting their strong concern for future career pathways, especially in the field of wealth management.

The MOU Signing Ceremony and Specialized Seminar Series concluded in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Many students stayed behind to continue in-depth discussions with the speakers, drawn by the valuable knowledge and career opportunities shared.

The seminar also marked the first concrete step in SAPP’s cooperation commitment with UEH College of Business in general and the Department of Finance in particular, laying the foundation for a substantive and in-depth partnership that will contribute to enhancing training quality and developing a workforce approaching international standards.
