On June 30, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held a ceremony to announce and present appointment decisions for leadership and management positions within its units for the 2025-2030 term. This event marks a strategic step towards consolidating the governance structure, enhancing operational capacity and moving towards a multidisciplinary and sustainable university model. 

The ceremony was attended by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the University Council, the Board of Directors of UEH, the Boards of Directors of member schools, and leaders of departments, faculties, and institutes.

At the ceremony, UEH presented appointment decisions for many key leadership and management positions in its units. Among them, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Hong Nham was appointed as Director of the Institute for Innovation (UII) for the 2025-2030 term. Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Hong Nham officially received her appointment as Director of the Institute for Innovation (UII), while also concurrently holding the position of Director of the Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship training program (applied orientation, master’s degree). 

Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao presented the appointment decision to Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Hong Nham. 

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Associate Professor Bui Quang Hung – Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of UEH – congratulated the faculty members on their new responsibilities. The university leadership affirmed that this is an important organizational task aimed at improving the effectiveness of system management, and expressed hope that the new leadership team will maximize their role in connecting and coordinating effectively between units, thereby improving the quality of training, operations, and contributing to the realization of UEH’s strategic goals for the next five years. 

This appointment is expected to create a strong impetus for the development of the Institute for Innovation, ensuring continuity and improving efficiency in professional management. Under the leadership of the new Director, UII aims to continue optimizing management capacity, promoting interdisciplinary research and activities, strengthening internationalization, and closely linking with the practical flow of entrepreneurship. At the same time, it will focus on enhancing the student experience and creating a dynamic and creative learning and research environment for students.
