UEH launches 170 international student scholarships for the 2021 – 2022 academic year

With aspirations to become a key leading university in Economics, Administration and Law in Southeast Asia, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has tirelessly worked to promote meaningful scientific research activities, renew training programs, improve facilities and implement timely policies to attract scientists, experts and learners. In particular, UEH is proud to announce our scholarship policies for international students in order to enrich the international community at the university while creating more opportunities for academic and cultural exchanges in an ever-growing educational environment.

170 scholarships for international students in the year 2021 – 2022

For the 2021 - 2022 academic year, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is proud to launch 170 scholarships to international students, including: 100 undergraduate scholarships, 50 postgraduate scholarships, 20 researcher scholarships.

This announcement marks an important milestone as UEH continues to affirm its position and reputation as a leading university in the region and in the world. The scholarships will be granted to eligible students during the official training period of the program, ranging from 50% to 100% coverage of all tuition and accommodation fees, depending on whether the scholarship is a Partial, Full or Distinction category. To be more specific,

Distinction scholarships are maintained throughout the entirety of the eligible student’s official training period.
For Full and Partial Scholarships, UEH will re-evaluate the student’s previous year academic performance in order to determine an upgrade or downgrade of scholarship category.

It is with hope that this policy will motivate students to work harder to thrive and excel in their studies, both to maintain their scholarship coverage and to continue challenging themselves to new heights academically.

Eligibility and Application Requirements:

In order to apply for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must be foreigners who are not a Vietnamese citizens;
Have successfully applied for formal training programs taught in Vietnamese or English at UEH;
Are not subject to exchange or being sent to study under the Agreement and have not received any scholarship in Vietnam before.

In order to accelerate the process and relieve students from application stress, UEH will concurrently evaluate student’s scholarship eligibility based on their enrollment/admissions application. Applications that meet the regular admissions requirements as well as the aforementioned scholarship criteria will be considered for offer in descending order and in corresponding amount to the cut-off number of scholarships.

In addition to the monetary awards offered in tuition and accommodation expenses, UEH has established other convenient support to help students throughout the application process and their time at UEH, such as using our online platform and hotline systems through the Department of Student Affairs (DSA).

100 Scholarships for Undergraduate International Students:

For Standard Program (Vietnamese instructions):

06 Distinction: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,000 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.
30 Full Tuition: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,000 USD). Evaluated annually.
35 Partial Tuition: 50% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $4,100 USD). Evaluated annually.

For Advanced Programs (English instructions):

04 Distinction: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $10,000 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.
10 Full Tuition: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $10,000 USD). Evaluated annually.
15 Partial Tuition: 50% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,200 USD). Evaluated annually.

50 Scholarships for Graduate International Students:

For Vietnamese - instruction programs:

02 Distinction: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $4,000 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.
10 Full Tuition: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $4,000 USD). Evaluated annually.
15 Partial Tuition: 50% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $2,500 USD). Evaluated annually.

For English - instruction programs:

03 Distinction: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,200 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.
10 Full Tuition: 100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,200 USD). Evaluated annually.
10 Partial Tuition: 50% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $3,800 USD). Evaluated annually.

20 Scholarships for International PhDs:

For Vietnamese - instruction programs: 100% tuition + accommodation fees, equivalent to $11,000 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.

For English - instruction programs: 100% tuition + accommodation fees, equivalent to $11,000 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.
