WELCOME FROM THE RECTOR

Established in October 1976, The University of Economics, Hochiminh city (UEH) has been continuously developing and has now become a multidisciplinary university in the fields of Economics and Management.

Currently, eleven UEH's faculties offer five training majors - specialized into twenty two disciplines - for Bachelor, Master and Doctor levels at which nearly 50,000 students are studying. Besides, UEH's services are supported and diversified by fifteen research institutes and centers. As a leading, prestigious training and research center in Vietnam, particularly in the South, the UEH has noticeably contributed to economic transition process and knowledge-economy orientation. UEH is now recognized as one of the fourteen key national universities.
Sixteen international programs are achievements of UEH close and diverse relationships with nearly thirty universities, research institutes and other organisations from fifteen countries and regions. The university always opens its doors widely to welcome Vietnamese and International lecturers, researchers and students to come to study, teach and exchange experiences and research results.
The 21st Century will be one of knowledge economy. Promoted by education, science and technological forces will play a core role in achieving nationally socio-economic missions. To be a better key training center in the South, UEH will continue to expand its training and cooperative activities in the up coming years, to enhance research activities and consultancy services. We hope that our graduates and services will deservedly take part in carrying out these noble missions.
